Stories about Sailor Venus

Sailor Venus is the most experienced warrior of the Inner Senshi. She represents the Japanese element Metal and the emotion Love. Before joining their team, she operated solo as Sailor V in England. She has an advisor named Artemis, a white, talking cat. She has a powerful laser beam attack, and also a magical entangling chain. As a young teenager, her name is Minako Aino, roughly translating to "Child of Love." Minako is very cheerful and outgoing, a practical joker, and a bit disaster-prone.

Awakening - Part 1 (192k) by Tim Nolan

A flawless novella about what the senshi were doing from about six months prior to the first episode, focusing on Venus. It has sequels that should be read in this order:
Awakening - Part 2
Obligations
The End of the Beginning

Kiss of the Enemy (398k) by Ken Wolfe

Contains some scenes of a sexually expicit nature. The third story by Ken Wolfe, it is decidedly darker in tone than the last two. Sailor Venus gets sidetracked by a persuasive villain. Is she lost to the senshi? This story stands alone, but may be better enjoyed after having read his first two stories, The Four Horsemen and Frozen Time. The last three stories in the series are:
Under a Cloud
Secrets
Pictures at an Exhibition
Ken now has a personal webpage, Ken Wolfe's Place.

After the First Death (22k) by Ysabet

A Sailor V story, set just before/during the first Sailor Moon season. We see Minako winding down her Sailor V career in preparation to join the senshi.

Symphony of the Planets: Venus (36k) by John Biles

Minako tries to dodge her parents while trying to spark up some romance on a trip to a resort. This is one of five stories (each centered around one of the five Inner Senshi) all taking place simultaneously. Each is complete in itself, yet intertwined with the others. All five can be found in one place on my Inner Senshi page. If you like it, please drop John Biles a line, then check out his fanfiction page at Bailesu's Fiction Page

We Never Knew You, Aino Minako (26k) by Victor Naqvi

A short, humorous story that brilliantly connects all the elements that make up Minako's character, from her Sailor V roots to her personality quirks through to her Sailor Venus competency. A good view for those who have only seen the English version, which sometimes tries to expunge Minako's character from existence. Write and tell Victor what you think of it. He loves e-mail.

Yaten's Love Song (176k) by Jennifer Wand

An unabashedly sentimental love story about two underexposed characters. Jennifer did a great job at making the passion burn right into the paper. Jennifer has written some other stories, including her Sailor Moon moments series. They can be found at her webpage, Jennifer Wand's Home Page

Reflections: Aino Minako (1k) by Ross TenEyck

More poetry from this talented author, uncovering the special connection between Usagi and Minako. If you liked it, let Ross know. He has written more poems. All can be found on his webpage, Ross TenEyck's Oracular Home Page

Obligations (500k) by Tim Nolan

The sequel to the two "Awakening" stories. While all the senshi are involved, this dwells heavily on the leadership role of Minako, and the attendant sacrifice she must make. Very powerful. His stories should be read in this order:
Awakening - Part 1
Awakening - Part 2
Obligations
The End of the Beginning
