Title: Zoycite's Story Part: Fourteen Rating: PG/PG-13 ====================================================================== Since I didn't get a part out last week (no one can escape the flu! ^_~) So, I'm giving everyone an extra part this week. Enjoy! Also check out my story I'm co-writing with Julie-chan called Mishaps in Time. I want to take this oppertunity to thank all you guys for reading and e-mailing me. It makes this worth while. My address is the same, Zoycite111@hotmail.com. Enjoy part eleven! ^_^ ====================================================================== Disclaimer: I do not own Zoycite or any other character in Sailor Moon. This story is from my own imagination and is my own work. However, I would like to own Malachite...or Prince Diamond...(life's so unfair!^_~) ====================================================================== Malachite spent the rest of the day in his quarters. It was unusually quiet, for Queen Beryl hadn't called for him or Zoycite in a really long time. However, the quiet was unsettling for Malachite. The silence made his mind wander to a range of things. Obviously, he thought of Zoycite. But with thoughts of her, came the underlying dread of what may happen if Queen Beryl ever discovered they had their memories back, or more importantly, of their love for each other. ~Malachite: If Beryl ever found out, I don't know what I would do. Like in my dream, I would protect her with my life. I can't bear to think about what life would be like without her. Speaking of Zoycite, I haven't seen her since this afternoon in the library. If Beryl did anything to her, I swear I'll...~ Zoycite appeared before Malachite could finish his thought. A look of relief washed over Malachite's face, but it was quickly replaced by the serious expression he normally wore. Malachite assumed Zoycite hadn't noticed his facial expressions, but Zoycite wasn't an idiot. She could tell he was worried about her. ~Zoycite: Amazing. Malachite seemed to be worried about me. Who'd have thought a person could change so much in just a short period of time...Now all I have to do is think of a good way to explain Nephrite's legend to Malachite...~ "Zoycite," Malachite said, bringing Zoycite's thoughts back to the present, "What were you doing in the library?" "Thinking." replied Zoycite, "Oh, and I found another book. I think you'll be very interested in this one." "Is it on the Diamond Kingdom?" Malachite inquired. "I don't know. But I know you'll like it. It's on the subject you've been researching for the past couple of days." replied Zoycite mysteriously. "The library doesn't have anything useful on eternal sleep." replied Malachite. "I know because I just looked there today." Zoycite only smiled in reply before disappearing in her trademark cherry blossom petals. Before Malachite could call after her, Zoycite appeared with another book. "Here. I think you'll enjoy this." Zoycite said handing the book over to Malachite. " 'The Diamond Spells.' Just like the book in my dream." Malachite said thoughtfully as he flipped through the book. "What dream?" asked Zoycite. "The dream I had just after you left." Malachite answered. "I saw most of my past in that dream." Malachite proceeded to relay the dream to Zoycite. She patiently waited for Malachite to finish before speaking up. Now, Zoycite knew everything about her past. "Amazing. Nephrite told me almost the same story." Zoycite said thoughtfully. "Except his version wasn't as detailed. Hmmmm...This means that Jadeite had memories of his past, and Nephrite just told me about his own past without even knowing it!" "That is amazing." mused Malachite. "But we mustn't tell Nephrite about his past just yet. It would be too much for him to take right now. There's a time and a place for everything." "Here's the real kicker. We aren't the only ones who are in love in the Nega Verse." Zoycite said with a laugh. "Oh? Who's Nephrite in love with?" "An earth girl." Zoycite replied. Malachite almost choked when he heard that. "You've got to be kidding me!" "Nope." "Oh well. Enough talk of other people and the past. I'm only concerned with you and the present." Malachite said picking Zoycite up in his arms. * * * Zoycite left the comfort of Malachite's room early in the morning and took her place on the couch. It's not like she wanted to leave him, she was just protecting Malachite and herself. Now, people would think she spent the night at his castle and not with him. She smiled to herself as she sat down on the couch. Her week couldn't have gotten any better. Well, it could if she was no longer living in the NegaVerse, but that's besides the point. Zoycite now knew that Malachite did in fact love her, which is something she never thought would happen. It was odd to think that they knew each other in their past lives, but it was also comforting. At least they knew they were meant to be. The other great part about learning about their past lives, was the knowledge that they were the rulers. Zoycite was getting used to the idea of people calling her queen all the time... * * * Malachite was having the same thoughts upstairs. Every time he saw Zoycite, he fell in love with her again. Malachite could still remember the first time he saw her, which was while she was sleeping. If only Malachite would have realized that the feeling he had for Zoycite that day was love, they would have been together a whole lot sooner. Well, hind sight is twenty-twenty. Being the good guy that he was, Malachite decided to get a gift for Zoycite. It couldn't be any ordinary gift, it had to be something special. "Diamond Spells" continued to lay on the night stand where Zoycite set the night before. Malachite picked up the book and began to leaf though it. About half way though the book, Malachite found the spell he was looking for. It was entitled "How To Get Rid of Eternal Sleep - Blue Crystal." The spell was so simple, Malachite wondered why he didn't think of it before. To make sure it worked, Malachite decided to try the spell on a mouse. After conjuring a mouse, Malachite spoke the formula. "Eternal sleep, enclose this mouse in a blue crystal!" Instantly the mouse became rnclosed in a light blue crystal. ~Malachite: So far, so good. Now for the antidote.~ "Inhabitant of the blue crystal awaken, for eternal sleep is gone." After speaking the second formula, the blue crystal disappeared and the mouse was moving as if nothing had happened to it. "Wow." Malachite said aloud to himself when he realized what he had just accomplished. "I now know the formula for eternal sleep. I wonder if Beryl can be enclosed in one of these crystals...And what do the different colored crystal mean?" Malachite read a little further in the spell, and found that different colored crystals correspond to different strengths. The blue crystals Malschite was using was by far the most powerful. ~Malachite: All I have to do now, is find Nephrite's crystal.~ Malachite pondered this point for a few minutes. The only space he could think of that would be large enough to house a great number of crystal was the lower dungeon. A long time ago, Beryl punished anyone who displeased her to eternal sleep. But too many people were placed in crystals. Now she saves the eternal sleep for the generals, and fries everyone else. Malachite decided he would hunt around the lower dungeons tomorrow. Now, he turned his attention back to more important things. Like what he should get his precious Zoycite. He thought for a while, and was still thinking when she appeared before him. "How's the book?" Zoycite asked after giving Malachite a quick kiss. "Great! You found another great book." Malachite responded. "I found the eternal sleep spell, and the best part is...I can complete it." "That's wonderful!" exclaimed Zoycite. "Hmmm. Maybe you could trap Beryl in one of those. She deserves it after what she did to us!" "I had the same thought." "Well, I was just stopping by to tell you that I'm heading back to my quarters. I want to shower and change before heading out to the practice area for some target practice." Zoycite explained. "Is my mentor going to come with me?" "Sorry Zoey, but I can't. There are a few errands I need to run today." Malachite lied. Obviously, this wasn't the response she wanted, and her face showed it. ~Zoycite: It better not be another woman...~ ~Malachite: I hate to lie to Zoycite, but it's the only way I can get a surprise gift for her.~ "Fine." Zoycite said dejectedly. "Stop by when you're back." "I will." "Bye." Zoycite said as she was engulfed in cherry blossom petals. Malachite was stunned in how she left him, for she didn't kiss him good-bye. ~Malachite: Well, she may be mad at me now, but I bet she won't when she see's the gift I'm going to get for her...If I can find a good one...~ With his mission fresh in his mind, Malachite opened a doorway to the Earth realm. Maybe he could find something there. ====================================================================== Well, that's it for the fourteenth installment of Zoycite's Story. I hope you enjoyed it.
