Title: Zoycite's Story
Part: Nine
Rating: PG
======================================================================
Well, my New Year's resolution is not to leave as many cliff hangers
as I have in the past. I'm really sorry if I've annoyed any of you! ^_^
I want to take this oppertunity to thank all you guys for reading and
e-mailing me. It makes this worth while. My address is the same,
Zoycite111@hotmail.com. Enjoy part nine! ^_^
======================================================================
Disclaimer: I do not own Zoycite or any other character in Sailor Moon.
This story is from my own imagination and is my own work. However, I
would like to own Malachite...or Prince Diamond...(life's so unfair!)
======================================================================
Last time: Part nine was a long and involved discussion between Zoycite
and Malachite about the revelation of his feelings for her. I won't go
into detail here. They both have a strange feeling that they knew each
other in a past life, and the only way to find out anything, is to go
to the Dark Kingdom Library. However, before they can go there, Queen
Beryl with her "seventh sense" calls the two back for a report. Part
Nine ends with Malachite and Zoycite making a pact that they will act
as normal as possible, so they don't alert anyone else to their
relationship.

"What were you two doing in the earth realm?" asked Queen Beryl
once Zoycite and Malachite returned to the Dark Kingdom.
"Ummm..." Zoycite stalled, trying to think of a believable
excuse.
"Well?" said Queen Beryl, as her yellow eyes began to glow, as
if to emphasize her statement.
"I decided to go down to the Earth realm to check up on
Nephrite's progress. I wanted to see his tactics, and if they worked, or
not. That way I could be more successful when my time came to take over.
I was going to collect energy, but I had no orders to do so, and I had
no desire to show up my older collegue." lied Zoycite, as she prayed that
this excuse would please Beryl.
"Good thinking, Zoycite, although not about the energy." began
Queen Beryl. "Even if I had not given you orders to collect energy, you
should anyways. However, all in all, I think you are adapting very well.
I hope to see great things from you in the future."
"Yes my queen." said Zoycite as she bowed in the usual fashion.
"Now Malachite." Queen Beryl said, directing her attention to the
silver-haired general. "You had no reason to be in the Earth realm. What
is your petty excuse?"
"My excuse?" asked Malachite. "Well, the only thing that I have
yet to teach Zoycite is magic. I was going to take her to the library
to start teaching her Latin, so she could read the books. However, I
couldn't find her anywhere, and the last place I could look was the Earth
Realm. IT took me a while to locate her, but that's where I found her."
"As it is right now, I see no need for Zoycite to have any knowledge
in the Dark Magics, but as her trainer and mentor, I place total confidence
in you and your judgement. Do as you see fit." replied Queen Beryl.
"Yes, m'queen." said Malachite.
"You are dismissed."
* * *
Malachite and Zoycite teleported out of the throne room and went
to the Dark Kingdom Library.
"Well, here it is." said Malachite as they entered the building.
From the outside, the library liiked like all the other buildings
in the NegaVerse. The inside, however, was a different matter. It was
literally three-stories of stories. There were books everywhere. The library
was dimly lit, so Malachite conjured a couple of candles to aid them with
light.
"This is so amazing!" exclaimed Zoycite. "But there are so many books,
how will we know what to look for, or more importantly, where to start."
"To be perfectly honest with you, I'm not exactly sure. I have a
feeling that it will be an old book, but that's about it." replied Malachite
as he approached the first bookcase and began to scan the titles. "Lets
split
up. We may have more luck that way."
Zoycite walked around the library, looking for a good place to start.
She found one corner that seemed darker than the others, and when she went
over
to it, she got a strange feeling.
~Zoycite: This might be a good place to start, but it's so dark. Where
can I get some light?~
Zoycite answered her own question by conjuring a candle. That changed
the appearance of the corner. The added light allowed Zoycite to scan the
titles.
She looked over the books, hoping something would pop out at her.
Then she saw it. It was a thick book, about three inches thick to be
exact. Zoycite had one hell of a time trying to pull it out of the shelves
because it was wedged into the shelf. Once she finally pulled it out, she
was able
to look at it. The book had a brown leather cover that showed signs of age.
The
book was called "The Diamond Kingdom."
Zoycite began to leaf through the old book, looking for anything that
would help, but there was nothing. She was about to put the book back when
she
dropped the three-inch book on her foot.
"YEOUCH!" screamed Zoycite.
"Are you ok? What happened?" Malachite called out.
"It's nothing. I just dropped a book on my foot." answered Zoycite.
Zoycite bent down to pick the book up. It had fallen open to a picture
of two people. The man was tall with silvery-white hair standing next to a
shorter woman with coppery hair. There was an inscription written below it.
But
without light, it was too hard to read. Zoycite held the candle up to the
book and
almost dropped it again.
"Malachite! You better get here...quick!" Zoycite said shakily as she tried
to digest what she had just seen.

Well, that's it for the tenth installment of Zoycite's story. TI'm sorry
I promised no cliffhangers, but it is a shortened mod, and I am on stage
crew for the winter production. I will try not to do it again. ^_^
