I used to be a rabid fanfiction fan, especially of Sailor Moon. Sadly, real life gets in the way, not only of writing and reading fanfics, but also maintaining sites. Most of my favorite sites have succumbed to old age and disuse, the death of free and attractive web hosting, and the natural slump in fandom that happens after the show's been off the air for a decade. But let's be honest - at heart I selfishly want to preserve a bit of what made Sailor Moon so exciting in my misspent youth, and most of the draw was not the anime itself but the attendant fanworks.
With a lot of hard work and tenacity, I have begun recovering many of my favorite sites from the annals of history. They are predominantly fanfiction and predominantly Dark Kingdom. It is the nature of the beast to specialize in Sailor Moon, and I am a Dark Kingdom fan more than anything else. One final note: I am doing this almost entirely without permission. If you are the creator of a site or a work on a site, please contact me if you want your works removed or altered, or if you have missing bits of content to contribute. My email is right there in the margin.

The Best Sailor Moon Fanfiction on the Net
This is where I first remember coming for fanfics. There are quite a few classics in here - may I especially recommend Tim Nolan's, +Gradient's, and Ken Wolfe's works, "Damaged," "Renaissance," "Time Twister," and "A Chibi Chibi Lemon" to top things off with a laugh.
The Scrumdiddlyumptious Dark Kingdom LOVE Revival
The SDKLR by Soylent Green was the preeminent Dark Kingdom fanworks site around the fin de siecle. It has yet to be surpassed in quality or content. I frittered away many a high school night here; it's somehow fitting that I sweated blood to make this one live again. It remains an ongoing project to restore all the contributors' works.
This's Nothing!
Sardonyx's site may look a little different from the last time you visited (frames can go die in a fire,) but I promise the content has not been changed. Sardonyx is best remembered for her quirky writing style in the Dark Kingdom subset. I was lucky enough to have turned up ALL of her long stories, short stories, poetry, and parodies hosted on her site. If you're looking for some other Sardonyx stories, you should check out Stayka's collection of Sardonyx stories and poems.
Bishounen Ai no Dark Kingdom
I had a not-exactly-request for Anna-chan's site earlier this year, so I bumped my other project down the to-do list and investigated this disturbing pink website to see what the fuss was. Although I didn't spend much time here a decade ago, I have come to appreciate the content as I've been restoring it. I must confess, however, that I may need to tone down the pink in the future; my eyes are bleeding. The fanart is rough but the fiction is here. Sadly, the doujinshi are MIA.
