G1 Herd

This is the meat and potatoes section of Equus: My personal collection. I had about thirty MLPs growing up. I never realized exactly how many were in the G1 line until I looked them up on a whim one day. I have been slowly working to gather more, and I use my site as my checklist. Enjoy the fruits of my labors.

      Adult Ponies

Collector Ponies Butterscotch, Blossom, Cotton Candy, Concave Foot Butterscotch, Bluebelle, Minty, Snuzzle, 25th Anniversary Snuzzle
I'd wanted a Snuzzle since I first saw them offered in the mail order catalogs (I was too young to remember them in the stores.) Finally, after many near-misses on ebay and through collectors' websites, I got one! It only took me twenty years. o.O

Year Two Ponies Bow Tie, Bow Tie II, Bubbles, Applejack, Applejack II, Sea Shell, Moondancer, Glory, Twilight, Sunbeam, Firefly, Firefly III, Medley
This is the quintessential set of MLP to me. The duplicates were gifts.

Year Three Ponies Lickety Split, Tootsie, Cherries Jubilee, Posey, Sky Flier, Sparkler, Gusty I, Gusty II, Powder, Surprise, Heart Throb
Another one of my favorite years. Gusty I has been rehaired in alternate colors.

Rainbow Ponies Parasol, Confetti, Moonstone, Moonstone II, Windy, Windy II, Skydancer, Tickle, Starshine, Flutterbye, Sunlight, Starflower, Pinwheel, Trickles, Ringlet, Streaky, Raincurl, Stripes
I grouped all of the rainbow-themed adult sets together from years Two, Three, and Eight.

So Soft Ribbon III, Best Wishes, Wind Whistler, Truly, Magic Star, Sundance, Posey, Bouncy, Twist, Twilight, Lofty, Lickety Split, North Star, Buttons, Hippity Hop, Shady, Bangles, Scrumptious, Cupcake, Taffy, Crumpet, Paradise, Angel, Fifi, Skippety Doo, Surprise,
I didn't initially care for So Softs until I started getting mint ones. I've sunk the largest amount of cash into these girls, and they are worth it. I can thank Helen for pretty much all the So Softs. =)

Deflocked North Star, Paradise, Shady, Skippety Doo
I've deflocked all these gals. It's both exciting and nerve-wracking to scrape off the unsalvagable flocking to reveal what it underneath.

Earthlings Shoreline, Pina Colada, Mommy Bright Bouquet, Ringlets, Sundance, Lily of the Valley, Holly
    All rescues here.

    Unicorns Beach Ball, Tuneful
Both are from my childhood collection.

Pegasi Glittering Gem, Braided Beauty, Curly Locks, Sea Breeze
All are rescues. Sea Breeze has been rehaired.

    Seapony Seawinkle
Yeah, I'm not really a seapony kind of gal. I think that's the right name. Oi.

Twinkle Eyes Sweet Stuff, Tic Tac Toe, Quackers, Speedy II, Locket, Locket II, Whizzer, Whizzer II, Sky Rocket, Galaxy, Sweet Pop, Masquerade, Fizzy, Party Time, Gingerbread, Bright Eyes, Mimic
Here's the whole set! Most are well loved, but they work just fine for me.

Twice as Fancy Sugarberry, Dancing Butterflies, Sweet Tooth, Up, Up, and Away, Love Melody, Milky Way, Bonnie Bonnets, Nightglider, Merriweather, Yum Yum, Munchy, ButtonsTAF Sundance
Yey! Another finished set. Look at those pretty little TAFs. =)

Tail Swishers Twirler, Songster, Romper, Squeezer, Tabby II
Songster is my only original here. Tabby I went to live with the Succubus (and actually, I curled her hair better than my Tabby!)

Scented Ponies Coco Berry, Sugar Sweet, Molasses, Sherbert, Banana Surprise, Sorbet Surprise, Cherry Treats, Boysenberry Pie
Cherry Treats is happy I finally managed to rehair her.

Magic Message Cuddles, Mirror Mirror, Cloud Dreamer, Cloud Dreamer II, Windy, Magic Hat, Floater
    Whoo! Finally complete.

Sparkle Starhopper, Stardancer, Store Version Star Dancer, Twinkler, Store Version Twinkler, Sunspot, Sky Rocket, Napper, Store Version Napper
All my original sparkle ponies came in the mail order set; all the store versions are rescues.

Princesses Moondust, Dawn, Primrose, Tiffany, Sparkle
I think I'm the only MLP collector who loathes the tinsel design in the second year Princesses. I mean, what do you do with it when you don't have the crown?

Internationals Nice 'n Spicy, Macau peach Peachy, Gypsy, Kiss Curl, Argentine Posey,
Macau Peachy, Argie Posey and Gypsy have been rehaired.

     Babies

Pearlized Baby Blossom, Baby Cotton Candy, Baby Firefly, Baby Glory, Baby Moondreamer, Baby Surprise
I bought all my pearlized babies at once. Whoever was working in the factory that day got carried away with the glue; Cotton Candy's hair was glued to her neck, and Firefly and Surprise both have glue smears around their necks. Other than that, though, they're near mint.

Beddy Bye Eye Baby Gusty, Baby Sundance, Baby Sleepy Pie, Baby Lickety Split, Baby Frosting, Baby Ribbon, Baby Lofty
I put a bit of work into restoring these babies. They're probably worth more to me than to anyone else. BBEs really are freaky.

Sparkle Baby Firefly, UK Baby Firefly, Baby Gusty, Baby Starflower
The US releases of Firefly and Gusty were with me from the beginning and have lovely, silky hair. UK Firefly has been rehaired.

First Tooth Baby Northstar, Baby Quackers, Baby Fifi
Quackers' previous owner must have hated the color yellow -- all the yellow was hacked out of her mane and tail. A baity Starshine donated her hair to this worthy cause.

Peekaboo and Playtime Baby Noddins, Baby Countdown, Baby Drummer, Baby Ribbs
Noddins was my first baby pony. I think her mane is thinning from repeated brushings, and I've misplaced her bib. Countdown was my first boy pony. I'm going to make them new scarves one of these days. No, really...

    Drink n Wet Baby Flicker
Another one from Miranda. I don't know if she still works; I haven't tried.

Baby Glory, Blossom, Cotton Candy, Firefly, Moondancer, Surprise
I've dubbed this subset the Inkdots. All of these babies came to me with ink stains, all successfully removed.

    Ember Pink, Blue, Lavender, Star
    Finished!

Newborns Shaggy, Puddles, Squirmy, Tappy, Wiggles, Dibbles, Tattles, Doodles
Shaggy was like my third or fourth pony. Puddles was rescued from life as a bait and was rehaired.

    Mermaid Baby Sea Princess
While in storage, a large rub happened on her tail. Of course, she looks mint from the front, so I'm not complaining.

    Baby Seapony Wavedancer, Salty, Surfy
I also have Wavedancer's float. She still changes color, but her bottom has bleached out from years of playtime in the bathtub. Salty...well, I'm just glad she's here in one piece. 'Nuff said.

     Playsets and Mail Orders

Playset Majesty, Sprinkles, Lemon Drop, Lemon Drop II, Fifi, Peachy, Scoops, Baby Half Note, Baby Tiddlywinks, Baby Tiddlywinks II, Baby Cuddles, Sprinkles II
I had the mail order set of playset ponies from childhood. The rest are rescues.

Christmas Ponies Baby Stocking, Merry Treats
Baby Stocking's hair is wild! I just can't seem to keep it tamed down. Merry Treat was one of my favorite ponies for her gorgeous, silky hair. Both are blindingly bright white.

The Wedding Couple Satin 'n Lace and Tux 'n Tails
All they need is their ringbearer Lucky. Where did that stallion go, anyway?

    The Mythic Rapunzel and Goldilocks
My most valuable pony is also one of the most loved. (And "most loved" for me is still excellent condition...) I have her on permanent display so her tail won't be squashed. The braids are my doing. Goldilocks was an auction purchase.

    The 10th Anniversary Pony
I believe she was my last pony, most likely a birthday present. MLP and I turned ten on the same year; how fitting a present was that? I still have the necklace, cardboard present box, and friendship bracelet. Her hair and tinsel are wondrously smooth.

     Wingers and Slenders

Flutter and Winger Ponies Cloud Puff, Lily, Yum Yum, Tropical Breeze, Honeysuckle, Peach Blossom, Forget-Me-Not, Morning Glory, Rosedust, Wind Drifter, Wing Song, Pink Dreams, Hollywood, Sun Glider
Cloud Puff was my very first pony. The flutters are all sporting repro wings from Gypsywildflower -- they're very appreciated!

Sweetheart Sister Ponies Sunbeam, Daisy Dancer, Dainty, Garden Glow
Sunbeam was a Christmas present, and Daisy Dancer came from Miranda. Dainty was a first for me: a pony with gum in her hair. Her tail is still tacky. Bah.

Slender Ponies '97 Sundance, '97 Dainty Dove,Purple Princess, Pink Princess, Bridal Beauty, Wedding Pony
I completely rehaired the pink princess. I hate tinsel now.

    Pony Friends Zigzag, Kingsley
I bought Zigzag for $1. Her only flaw is a bit of an uneven haircut by her last owner.

Petite Sunsparkle, Pretty 'n Pearly, Ponytail, Others
All of these are from my original herd and are in excellent shape. In the others, you can see my Mommy Charm Sweet Tune, Puddles from the Happy Hearts Cottage (which I have with all the bits, yey!) and a pony I consider part of my herd even though I found her on the playground (her tail was chopped when I found her, but it looks cute that way.)

    Pony Stamp Heart Throb
I found this in a parking lot many years ago. I never had the stamp portion. A kindly internet stranger confirmed this was a Heart Throb stamp (thank you!).
