A poem Rei Hino might write. Ghostwritten by John Biles You walk by grace, and not by sight, shining with some inner light. Where do you find the strength you hide, Hidden down deep inside your soul? Why do you run from your true self? Why must you wear this mask? I know the truth you hide behind the trips, behind the laziness, behind the feeding frenzies. I have seen you, divine in your wrath. I have seen you, divine in your love. All that you have, you give to us. And so often get nothing in return. Which you is the real you? The clumsy girl who runs and hides? The mighty princess who loves without measure And fights without ceasing? Or could it be...That somehow... They are one and the same? But how? How could anyone be So strong and so weak? You are a mystery to me, Usagi. A riddle I must answer. A lock whose key I must find... If I am to ever be like you... I see in you what I fear in myself The hunger, the fear, the laziness. I see in you what I wish I had... The heart that never surrenders, never stops loving. I yell at you because I want you to be strong I yell at you because I'm afraid I am weak. I tell myself it's for your own good, But I'm only trying to help myself. I wish I could find the strength to ask, To ask you to help me to be more like you, Like you in giving love without end, That in the end, I might give you the love you've given me. Afternote: I normally NEVER write Poetry, especially not free verse, but this just kinda grabbed my brain today :)
